First it was A&W at Ang Mo Kio Hub, and now another F&B establishment is calling it quits. Beloved bakery Flor Patisserie has announced the closure of its Siglap outlet, citing a sharp spike in rental costs.

According to its social media updates, the landlord at Siglap Drive is seeking a 57 percent increase in rent ahead of the July 2025 renewal – bringing the monthly bill to $8,500. As such, the team behind Flor Patisserie has decided not to renew the lease. This marks the end of the bakery’s physical presence, following the previous closures of its Duxton outlet in July 2024 and Upper East Coast store in June 2024.

It is undecided if Flor Patisserie will open a new physical outlet, though the owner has noted that “rents everywhere are too crazy” for now.

In its final two months of operation, the bakery will bring back a selection of crowd favourites, including the mango pie, Paris vert and earl grey choco.

Keep an eye on Flor Patisserie’s Instagram page for updates. In the meantime, there’s always the new Starbucks in Chinatown and Blue Bottle café to check out. Foodies can also look forward to the openings of Australia's Gelato Messina and South Korea's Standard Bread later this year.
