The wait is over. Minion Land at Universal Studios Singapore (USS) finally opens on February 14, 2025, after the initial announcement last December. This new section of the theme park is an explosion of yellow and joy, plus a couple of banana-themed elements – because we’ve got to keep the Minions happy. We made a trip over to Sentosa to uncover the best highlights at Minion Land, and here’s everything you can expect from rides to game booths and themed dining.
Zones at Minion Land Singapore
Gru’s Neighbourhood
![Gru’s Neighbourhood](https://media.timeout.com/images/106241403/image.jpg)
Take a stroll through Gru’s Neighbourhood and you’ll see the popular Despicable Me series come to life. There are various Minion-inspired shops lined along the walkway, as though we’re truly part of the Minions’ world. There’s a coffee shop, an optometry shop, and even an ATM that’s comically named Bank of Evil. While you can’t enter these shops, it’s worth noting the intricate details and adorable designs up close.

A life-sized model of Gru’s house stands looming over the streets. No evil scheme is brewing inside so feel free to snap a picture on the front porch.
![Pop-A-Nana stand](https://media.timeout.com/images/106241409/image.jpg)
Turn around and you’ll find the Pop-A-Nana stand. This F&B stall sells drinks and popcorn – but with a twist. It’s been Minion-fied, so the popcorn holds a subtle sweet banana flavour to it. You can even choose to get this snack in a cute collectible Minion popcorn bucket, and you can push its hand to make the Minion’s eyes blink.
![Minute of Minion Mayhem](https://media.timeout.com/images/106241410/image.jpg)
Grab your phones and cameras as the Minute of Minion Mayhem street parade happens along the streets throughout the day. There are stiltwalkers dressed as evil Minions, USS crew with fart blasters (they blow scentless gas), and of course, the entire Despicable Me gang. This includes fan-favourites Kevin, Stuart, and Bob, as well as Margo, Edith, and Agnes dancing along to the cheery music. USS crew helps facilitate the photo-taking sessions along the sidewalk, so join a queue and ready yourself to meet the characters.

Ever wanted to join the Minion gang? The Despicable Me Minion Mayhem ride transforms us into one of those squishy yellow fellows. Before you hop on the ride, Gru and the girls will assess if you’re a suitable candidate. Don’t worry, it’s an informal check and all you have to do is stand in the holding area with fellow Minions-to-be and watch a pre-recorded video of Gru and the crew. Spoiler here: you’ll be blasted by fake fart blasters, but there’s no need to hold your breath as the gas actually smells faintly like bananas.
Once you’ve passed the check, it’s time to enter Gru’s supervillain laboratory and on the ride. Each cabin holds four people, and phones and cameras are to be safely kept in your bag. There’s a reason for this – the ride simulates a high-speed chase so things get pretty bumpy. And wet. That’s all we’ll tell you. You’ll have to experience the full thrill yourself.
Super Silly Fun Land
![Super Silly Fun Land](https://media.timeout.com/images/106241412/image.jpg)
Super Silly Fun Land is where, well, all the fun and games are at. Enter this zone and you’ll recognise that it’s been modelled after the heart-warming seaside carnival scene from Despicable Me, where Gru brought the girls to play after the chaos. It’s also where Agnes’ iconic ‘It’s so fluffy!’ line debuted.
![Silly Swirly](https://media.timeout.com/images/106241413/image.jpg)
Here, hop on the Singapore-exclusive Buggie Boogie carousel where Carl the Minion spins the decks. Thrill-seekers can mosey on over to Silly Swirly, where hot air balloons take you to the skies.
![Super Silly Space Killer](https://media.timeout.com/images/106241414/image.jpg)
A carnival isn’t complete without game booths, and there are two to look forward to here. Super Silly Space Killer puts your precision and aim to the test, where you’ll have one chance to blast a beanbag and hit as many cans as possible.
![Ba-na-na CaBaNa](https://media.timeout.com/images/106241415/image.jpg)
Ba-na-na CaBaNa will have you flipping a banana into the coconut – it sounds easy, but we didn’t see any successful attempts during our time here.
Super Hungry Food Stand
![Super Hungry Food Stand](https://media.timeout.com/images/106241416/image.jpg)
You’re probably hungry after roaming the streets and going on rides. The Super Hungry Food Stand serves a variety of grub, such as the super silly veggie burger ($20), Stuart’s Japanese curry karaage ($19), and unlucky ducky creamy chicken stew ($19).

There are sides you can get to share with the fam too, including the chili crab Minion mantous ($12), Bob’s super crispy chicken ($18), Minion tots ($12), Carl’s mini nuggets ($12), and French fries ($10).

Those with a sweet tooth can treat themselves to the Minion macaron ($13), Fluffy’s rainbow cheesecake ($15), or banana cake pops ($15). We’ll give a special shoutout to the Tim Bear mousse cake ($14), as the chocolatey number curbed our cocoa cravings superbly. Alternatively, the Minion lychee roll ($12) is an option if you prefer your desserts light and less sweet.
Minion Marketplace merchandise store

Stop by the Minion Marketplace and stock up on Minion-themed swag before heading home. The place is split into three zones: Sweet Surrender, a pink candy-themed section with soft toys and homeware; Pop Store with fashion items; and Fun Store, where you’ll score accessories and toys including blind boxes with Minions dressed as Chinese zodiac animals.
