Popular Le Matin Patisserie, known for their freshly baked French pastries, has recently bid adieu to their Outram Park store. No need to panic: they’re simply moving onto bigger and better things with two new centrally-located stores.

The Robinson Road branch is their flagship store – you’re likely to see it filled with CBD office workers looking to get through the work day with a croissant or kouign amann. Here, you can get the full range of sweet and savoury pastries, as well as tarts, eclairs, and soft serve ice cream. What’s special about this particular store though, is that they’ll be offering breakfast cakes, in the form of individually-sized petit gateaux. No word yet on what these cakes are made up of, but they’re likely to have been inspired by our favourite breakfast dishes.

Their other store is in Paragon, tucked inconspicuously away in luxe spa Porcelain Origins. It’s a tinier space over here, but their range of classic pastries will still be available. You can also find bottled brews, seasonal kombucha, and pour-over coffee. We’re most excited about the exclusive high tea set that comes with mini renditions of the bestselling pastries – three sweet and three savoury pastries included, including the pistachio escargot along with the ox tongue and cheese panini.

Since Le Matin’s pastries are the brainchild of Chef Matin, the ex-pastry chef of three Michelin-starred restaurant Noma in Denmark, their range of both savoury and sweet pastries are bound to please. Even better now that you can enjoy them in a centrally-located, air-conditioned shop.
