It’s been a tough few months. But there’s light at the end of the tunnel: and it comes in the form of an egg sandwich. But this isn't your typical egg mayo on white bread – famed Los Angeles-based egg sandwich brand, Eggslut, announced today (June 21) that it will be opening an outlet in Singapore.

If you can’t already tell from its name, Eggslut is known for its egg-based creations. Founded in 2011, the brand quickly shot to fame. Many stand in line to grab a bite of its signature Fairfax, where scrambled cage-free eggs, cheddar cheese, caramelised onions, and sriracha mayo are nestled between warm brioche buns. There’s also the cheekily named Slut: coddled eggs and potato purée come poached in a jar, finished with a sprinkling of gray salt, and served alongside slices of toasted baguette.
As egg-cited as we are about the opening of Eggslut, there's no confirmation yet on its exact opening date and location. The brand has, however, shared that doors will open in "early 2021".
Outside of its home country, Eggslut also has outlets in London, Tokyo, South Korea, and now, our sunny island. It's brought in by SPC Group, the same company that operates the local outposts of Shake Shack and Paris Baguette.
