Popular food festival Eatbox is making a return this year. But instead of its usual pop-up format, the nomadic event has instead found a permanent home at Tekka Place. The organisers – the same people behind Artbox Singapore and Shilin Night Market – will transform the space into a sprawling 9,500 sq ft food hall with over 20 booths and four kiosks.

Look forward to sampling a range of delicious bites – from authentic regional flavours to modern fusion creations. Some highlights: Okinana Onigiri and its freshly prepped onigiri sandwich, and a halal mookata experience by Chickata.

More than just a place to fill the belly, the new Eatbox will also come outfitted with interactive murals, made in collaboration with various local artists, to help provide fodder for your Instagram feed. Strike a pose with the whimsical works of Ella Zhang (@designerinsingapore), or explore the importance of local food culture with a piece by Muhammad Hariz Bin Azmi (@haha.hariz).

And in the pipeline are two additional thematic spaces: an Experience Centre with an instant noodle-themed playground, as well as a retail and recreational space.

The doors to Eatbox, located at Tekka Place Annex Building, is slated to open in September 2021. For more information, head over to artbox.sg/eatbox
