Bid farewell to Daydreamer Tea Clan, the Chinese teahouse beloved for its affordable high tea sets, variety of Chinese tea and traditional snacks.
Despite plans to launch its new hot pot tea set this Lunar New Year, the store recently announced that it will be closing on 8 February, citing landlord issues and difficulties with finding another suitable location in time.
The teahouse will be welcoming its final customers and running a closing promotion the next two weeks, where diners can enjoy a 5% discount across their high tea sets originally priced at $28 to $68 for two persons.
Take your pick between the Golden Millet or Underwater Fragrance teas for the $28 set, while nibbling on tea leaf eggs, their house special tea jellies and snowflake pastries. For something more substantial, the $48 and $68 sets come with more snack options like lotus leaf rice, char siu buns and pine nuts alongside premium Chinese tea.
Chinese tea enthusiasts or those looking to dip their toes into the craft will also be pleased to know that there is currently a storewide 30% discount across a range of teaware.
The shop will also be missed for its relaxing interior space displaying Chinese paintings and artwork. Perched on the second and third floors of a conserved shophouse, it overlooks the iconic Buddha Tooth Relic Temple where we previously discovered a hidden food court.
Steep in the art of traditional tea appreciation one last time before the teahouse closes its doors on February 8. Make a reservation here and check out their Instagram page for updates.
