We’re sure you’ve heard of Changi Airport’s sunflower garden, a refreshing outdoor area where you can catch some fresh air while waiting for your flight. But because it’s located in the transit area of Terminal 2, we don’t always get the chance to pop by this little spot of sunshine before boarding a plane.

Now, with floral showcase A Sunflower Sojourn, you get to admire all the sunflowers you could ever dream of, spread across all four terminals of the airport. Over 5,000 sunflowers spanning more than 10 varieties – including the red and yellow Florenza and pastel pink Strawberry Blonde – are part of this massive display. The floral joy even extends outdoors to Hub and Spoke Cafe, which is serving sunflower-infused yogurt soft serve and butter toast for a limited period of time.

Feast your eyes on towering floral sculptures, with the largest one being an eight-metre-tall structure surrounded by 1,000 stalks at Terminal 3’s Departure Hall, a sight that’s sure to perk up even the most exhausted traveller. And if you’re going to be at Terminal 2 instead, check out the impressive five-metre topiary installation at the Departure Hall – it even rotates!

As you stop to smell the (sun)flowers, you’ll also pick up tidbits of info touching on how they have cultural and artistic significance, a level of importance in the ecosystem, and health and beauty benefits – they’re really just more than a pretty plant.
