While they’ve yet to officially set up shop in Singapore, Nobu is already a household name in our part of the world – it’s a true trailblazer for Japanese fusion. And now, Nobu will be opening a Singapore branch at Four Seasons Hotel this May.

Staying true to celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa's cooking style, the menu is likely to be similar to those of his other 50-odd restaurants around the world: a curious blend of Japanese and Peruvian. This came about from his three-year stint in Peru, where he had to replace many traditional Japanese ingredients with what he could get locally. One of his most standout dishes, a miso-marinated black cod, is likely to make an appearance. Chef Nobu is also trained as a sushi master, so we can expect Nobu to be the next up-and-coming sushi restaurant in our little red dot.

As the full details about the menu and the restaurant opening itself have yet to be released, this is all on a purely speculative basis. Those with sharp eyes have spotted that the Singapore restaurant is currently recruiting staff.
