In case you haven’t heard, our city was recently ranked the second most trending holiday destination for tourists in 2025 – and it’s easy to see why. Just take a look at our vibrant food scene – which includes a host of award-winning bars and restaurants – and our buzzing nightlife, recently ranked among the best in the world and the top in Asia. It’s also got stays for every budget – from economical to high-end.
If you’re looking to splash some cash on a retreat guaranteed to be unlike any other, nothing else compares to a stay at the newly redesigned Capella Singapore’s manors – ranked the number one city hotel earlier this year – on the beachfront paradise of Sentosa Island.
Here’s an added draw: your stay includes personalised host service, which we’ll get into later. For now, let’s take a moment to appreciate the hotel’s jaw-dropping glow-up – one sure to inspire plenty of vacation daydreams.
The hotel just unveiled a stunning makeover of its private three-storey manors – one Capella Manor and two Colonial Manors – courtesy of two acclaimed design houses: Melbourne-based interior decorator, Simone Haag for the former, and Matthew Shang Design Office for the latter. And what an exceptional job they’ve done – ‘luxurious’ doesn’t even begin to cut it.
Capella Manor’s refresh tells a story of homely comfort meeting contemporary chic styling. This stately bungalow is arranged over two floors, with king-size or twin beds across three ensuite bedrooms, living and dining areas, and an outdoor terrace with a private lap pool.
You’re expected to feel like you’re in a home away from home here – elevated by finely-curated interior details and high-end furnishings, from Asian-inspired fabrics and artwork, to custom designed furniture and vintage décor. This includes a Pelle Lure Lantern, a custom rug, 1930s Swedish carved monk chairs, woven Peanut chairs and more.
Wabi-sabi lovers will find Capella Manor a perfect source of design inspiration: its 576 square metres feature a neutral palette, subtle wallpaper and fabric patterns, and an abundance of tropical foliage which mirrors the 30-acres of lush landscape surrounding the manor.
Over at the two Colonial manors, expect a revamp that ties in local heritage with luxury. These original heritage buildings feature three ensuite bedrooms with king-size or twin beds, separate living, dining and study space, garden views, and a private pool.
Classy and timeless furnishings, eclectic artefacts and curated art, hand-knotted Persian rugs, and other sophisticated details give the Colonial manors a unique historic charm, reminiscent of iconic landmarks like the restored Raffles Hotel.
Travelling in a group and need some alone time? Unwind at ‘The Nest,’ an intimate living space perched away from the heart of the manor or ‘The Nook,’ a cosy haven adorned with cushions and framed by soft curtains – perfect for your retreat within a retreat.
The best part of your stay – aside from bespoke turndown amenities, a fridge stocked with champagne, premium wines, refreshments, and in-manor breakfast? The personalised host service by the ‘Manor Culturist’, who will be on hand to curate unique experiences during your stay – whether it’s a relaxing poolside picnic, a dim sum masterclass, a heritage tour, or even a babysitting session. Think of them as your personal event planner, ensuring your vacation is as stress-free as it gets.
You’ll also get to indulge in a range of Capella Wellness activities, such as private yoga by the pool, the spa’s signature moon-phase treatments, and a variety of music and art therapy workshops.
Ready for the high life? A one-night stay at Capella Manor starts from S$30,000, while the Colonial Manor is priced from S$25,000 per night. Find out more about Capella Singapore and its magnificent manors here.
