The world-famous Blue Bottle Coffee has landed in Singapore, much to the delight of caffeine enthusiasts around the island. This is its first Southeast Asian outlet, which occupies a small corner in the new Lumine global flagship store in Raffles City. But before we dive into the details, here’s a much-needed disclaimer: Blue Bottle Coffee Singapore will not be operating as a café, so don’t come expecting freshly brewed coffee. Instead, read on to find out what you can look forward to.

Blue Bottle Coffee’s drinkwares range from $33 for the standard coffee mug to $238 for the Jin glazed ceramic coffee cup. What can I expect at the coffee workshops?
While concrete details of the coffee workshops have yet to be announced, Time Out Singapore was given a sneak peek of what to expect at an exclusive coffee workshop organised for the media.
The session started with an address by two experienced Blue Bottle Coffee trainers who explained the brand’s move towards instant coffee, and the process of crafting quality instant coffee that tastes similar, if not better, than regular coffee. We were then given a sample of two types of instant coffee that were not for sale.
The first was the Bright Craft Instant Coffee – a fruit-forward Ethiopian blend with notes of blueberry, lemon zest, and golden raisins. More heat was applied during roasting to make the coffee sweeter, softer, and more approachable, with a taste profile similar to what you’d expect in filter coffee. The second sample featured beans from Yemen with a more complex and layered taste. We were told that this was a Blue Bottle Studio exclusive, served in small coffee omakase tasting sessions in Kyoto, Los Angeles, and other locations.
We also got to try the Craft Instant Espresso which has been pre-prepared by the trainers in a concentrated form, for enjoying either as an espresso or with frothed milk. On its own, the Craft Instant Espresso granules look like tiny gold speckles and give off a fragrant aroma once in contact with hot water.
When will the workshops be launched?
Blue Bottle Coffee is looking to make its coffee workshops available to the public later this year. Dates and prices of the workshops are currently being confirmed, so watch this space for updates.
What are the opening hours?
Blue Bottle Coffee is open daily from 10am to 10pm at Lumine Singapore, #01-01, Raffles City, 252 North Bridge Road, Singapore 059817.
