Immerse in the world of Baroque music on November 2 and 3 as SSO’s Baroque Festival returns with two outstanding programmes: Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos Part I and Part II, featuring some of the finest music ever written. The Singapore Symphony Orchestra will be led by Andrew Arthur, Associate Director and harpsichordist of the UK’s renowned period ensemble, The Hanover Band. Held on 2 November, Part I will also feature a piece by Vivaldi, whose virtuosic violin playing and innovative use of harmony and melody had a profound impact on Bach’s own music. Part II will be held on November 3. A two-concert bundle is available for sale at 15 percent off on www.sso.org.sg.
