Time Out says

There's no denying that we turn to music at any given situation. Our lives are constantly soundtracked, whether it's a catchy Top 40 hit that has been playing on repeat or a throwback tune that takes you back to your childhood. And this current global crisis is no different (remember charity single We Are The World?). While there are plenty of quaran-tunes out there to help you through the circuit breaker, Universal Music Group has something different up its sleeve.

The music label has announced the release of Stay Home, a moving track that delivers the powerful message of strength in unity – all in support of the nationwide efforts in dealing with the current situation. Set to be released on April 24 at 9am, the song features 14 local artists from various backgrounds including Charlie Lim, Yung Raja, Fariz Jabba, Shigga Shay, Alif, Abangsapau, Tosh Rock, Iman Fandi, Aisyah Aziz, Shye, Zadon, Yaø, Hasgy, and Dee Kosh. The artists recorded the single and filmed the music from their respective humble abodes in a record time of 11 days.

The musical project was inspired by Malaysia's version #JanganKeluar, a single in response to the country's MCO initiative. While in collaboration and staying true to the original, Stay Home has been injected with local elements in its melody and chorus to appeal to the local audience. It features the four different languages of English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil, celebrating our diversity. The multilingual is definitely a song for Singaporeans.

Stay Home will be available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and KKBox from 9am on April 24. The official music video will then premiere later that day at 8pm on YouTube, along with a live chat where Singaporeans can interact in real-time with the 14 artists.
