If last year’s collaboration with Ghostface Killah, Sour Soul, didn’t already cement BadBadNotGood at the cutting edge of hip hop, well, you’re just not listening hard enough. The quartet from Ontario, Canada, are more alchemists than producers, fusing trip hop, electronica, hip hop and nu-jazz into an adventurous – and deliciously bewildering – mix. Think a slinkier version of the Cinematic Orchestra. BBNG are also known for their electric live performances (sometimes even breaking into electronica-inflected covers of My Bloody Valentine and Kanye West), so you know where to be on the night. Part of Sing Jazz 2016.
