Time Out says

It's never too early to introduce the kids to the magic of music, especially the grand sounds of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO). And what better way to kickstart the mid-year school holidays than treating them to a colourful combination of classical music, engaging animation, and captivating storytelling?

As part of its much-loved Concerts for Children series, the SSO is back with another concert that will delight junior audiences from the comfort of their cosy corners at home. Titled Saturday’s Surprisingly Super-Duper Lesson, the concert is making its much-anticipated debut online via SISTIC Live on May 29. This marks the series' first show since the circuit breaker last year.

The specially tailored online concert is adapted from the local storybook of the same name by author Jolene Tan, illustrator Isabella Tong, and published by Epigram Books. It spotlights Aish who discovers something magical during her maths class – her doodles start to come to life. Together with animation and storytelling, the concert takes kids as young as four on a sonic adventure that is soundtracked by the symphonies of Beethoven, Mahler, Mendelssohn and Tchaikovsky, as well as Grieg's Morning Mood, Holst's The Planets and Richard Strauss' Der Rosenkavalier Suite as performed by the SSO.

Ready to introduce the little ones to the wonderful world of classical music? Secure your tickets online. Standard tickets at $20, excluding the $1 SISTIC booking fee. For more information visit sso.org.sg.
