There are three types of rooms and five kinds of suites available – opt for the Duxton Duplex Suite, a two-storey loft with a magnificent living space on the first floor and a bed and bath on the second. For a complete change of scenery, there's the Pearl Suite an all-white suite named after the mother of pearl chests that flank the bed, which comes complete with a living area and bathtub.
Guest perks include workshops on Chinese tea, nature discovery walking tours, yoga classes in the morning, an in-house medicinal herbal dispensary and traditional Chinese medicine consultations by a TCM master with over 40 years of experience. Following consultation, guests receive two complimentary tinctures from him daily with formulations that help to promote general wellbeing of both mind and body. The focus on the body and health carries on to the hotel's on-site restaurant too. Yellow Pot offers a range of Chinese sharing plates made with sauces that are prepared from scratch and free from any preservatives. Highlights on the menu include its roast duck ($32), braised sweet and sour eggplant ($14) and stir-fried mee sua ($18).
