The 41-room boutique hotel, found in an art deco shophouse, is the only hotel in town that has an artist-in-residence programme for writers, photographers, performance artists and others. An Artist Cocktail Hour takes place at the Vagabond Salon at 6pm each night so guests can mingle with them.
This nature-inspired resort provides an affordable weekend getaway for those in need of a break. There are a number of themed rooms – including ones inspired by jungles and M&Ms – while guests also get access to BBQ pits and the Wild Wild Wet water park.
It took nine months, but The Club finally reopened in July this year. Its black and white façade and decor have been replaced with brighter splashes of colour, and the rooms have all undergone a facelift, too. Plus, there are five restaurants and bars under its roof.
