The aesthetic clinic is run by Dr Karen Soh and Dr Tan Hui Suan, and has a whole host of services to target, skin, body and hair woes. This includes DiscoveryPICO (from $280 per session), which combats pigmentation and dull skin. It uses picosecond lasers to reduce the appearance of age spots, acne scars and even unwanted tattoos. The laser breaks down pigments into small particles which are then eliminated from the body by the immune system. Each session lasts a quick 15 to 30 minutes and is relatively painless – it feels like tiny ant bites or small rubber bands being snapped on the skin, which is more tolerable than getting extractions during a facial. For best results, the clinic recommends going for three to six sessions, and applying sunscreen after your sessions is a definite must.
You can also get your fat frozen off at this spa. Zimmer Aesthetics is a non-invasive body contouring treatment ($1,200 per area) that targets stubborn fat deposits through controlled gradual cooling (read: freezing) of fat cells to between -5ºC and -10ºC for over an hour. The crystallised fat cells are then eliminated by the lymphatic system, and Privé claims results will show two to three months post-treatment. But there are other beauty programmes to try at Privé Clinic, including skin refining ($6000/six sessions)– a treatment that promises to improve wrinkles and reduce pore sizes.
