Honour the badass, spine-chilling, and straight-up gruesome women in horror with a series of short film selections. Think narratives along the lines of satanic rituals, beheadings and deadly mermaids. Bringing the Tokyo-based film festival to Singapore for the first time, the event is dedicated to the pool of underrepresented females in filmmaking, particularly in the horror genre. Anna Biller’s satirical flick The Love Witch – it’s also the only feature-length movie screening at SQFFT – opens the programme, followed by shorts like Disco Inferno, Fish Eye and Nasty.
