Three specially commissioned 30-minute films centred on the themes of hope and memory make their world premieres here. They are: Study of a Singaporean Face by Kan Lumé and Megan Wonowidjoyo, an animated short featuring 1,000 portraits of MRT commuters; Bila Larut Malam(In the Still of the Night) by Sanif Olek, about three women who find strength despite their grief; and Silent Night by Liao Jiekai, where a mourner contemplates the idea of death.
Before you head over, book your tickets (which allow free entry) to enter the Gallery buildings during the Opening Celebrations.
