Film buffs are in for a treat this November at the French Film Festival. The festival opens at Capitol Theatre with a showing of Monsieur Chocolat, a biopic directed by Roschdy Zem and starring the grandson of Charlie Chaplin, James Thierrée. The tale covers the life and career of Rafael Padilla – a Cuban-born former slave who became the first black artist to appear on the French stage. From classics to fresh box office hits, a diverse selection of shows will be screened at various theatres across Singapore, including The Projector. Be sure to catch the award-winning documentary Demain and the César-nominated drama La Tête haute.
