Sit back, relax, and enjoy the most stunning local and international animated films at the 20th anniversary of Animation Nation, held at the ArtScience Cinema. Strap in for an exhilarating lineup of daily short film screenings from some of the world’s leading animation schools: Aardman Academy, Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), and Gobelins Paris. Three mature-themed films will be screened, including the 2024 Oscar-nominated short film, Letter to a Pig. There will also be a presentation by Nanyang Polytechnic animation students who participated in the International Animation Challenge in August. Budding animators and digital creators must not miss the masterclass on machine learning and AI led by VFX Mojo. Most excitingly, the inaugural edition of Lightbox SEA Animation Awards, launched in March this year, will announce its winners on the festival’s last day. As a final treat, the festival closes with the Southeast Asia Premiere of Miyazaki, Spirit of Nature (2024). Find out more here.
