Time Out says

On May 2 and 3, catch Sergei Polunin’s debut show in Singapore as he performs his career-defining role as Russian mystic Grigori Rasputin. The ballet superstar – who was London Royal Ballet's youngest-ever male principal dancer at 21 – has danced with the Stanislavsky Music Theatre and even acted in films like Murder on the Orient Express. You might have also seen him on YouTube, where his performance of Hosier’s Take Me To Church achieved viral success.

The dance drama, titled Rasputin, examines the dichotomy between power and weakness, good and evil. Sergei brilliantly explores the titular character’s complex psychology and moral ambivalence – his mysterious influence over the Russian royal family eventually contributes to the fall of the Romanov dynasty. Don’t miss one of the dance highlights of the year, brought to you by Base Entertainment Asia. Book your tickets here.
