La Sylphide

This classic work about the impossible love between a human and a supernatural creature marked the advent of the French Romantic period of ballet. In this adaptation by Pierre Lacotte, the Sylph visits the young James in his dreams, leaving him torn between her and his future wife. Performed in French with English subtitles, as part of the Paris Opera Ballet screenings.
