Khon by Pichet Klunchun Dance Company

RASAS, a programme that highlights traditional dances across Asia, opens with Khon – a court masked dance from Thailand that brings together various components of theatre and dance. Based on the Ramakien, a Thai adaptation of the ancient Sanskrit tale of Ramayana, it follows the story of Rama, the heir to the Ayutthaya kingdom, and his war against the evil king, Tosakan.
