Do you have what it takes to capture the essence of Singapore in a photograph? Then take your chances with Capitol Piazza’s Snapshots of a Little Red Dot competition, held in conjunction with photography group OurShutterJourney.com.
The visual metaphor of the ‘red dot’ is the central theme for this year’s competition, which seeks to uncover and celebrate the many sides of Singapore. Take pictures of a typical Singapore breakfast, the Singapore skyline or even an event in the heartlands – as long as it captures iconic Singaporean elements.
Following last year’s Snapshots of Heritage photography competition and exhibition, Capitol Piazza and their partners is once again organising a series of events this year, including free workshops, photography outings with fellow enthusiasts, and an exhibition of winning and shortlisted entries.
The top three winners of the competition will walk away with cash prizes and either an Olympus OM-D EM1 Mark II Camera, Olympus E-PL8 Camera or Olympus TG-4 TOUGH Camera. Fifteen consolation prizes of Cathay Photo product/cash vouchers, and Capitol Piazza F&B and retail vouchers are also up for grabs.
Simply snap an image based on your interpretation of this year’s theme, accompany it with a caption of not more than 30 words and email your entry to ourshutterjourney@live.com.sg with your contact details by June 20, before 11.59pm. Winners will be announced on June 30.
