It doesn’t get any more authentic than having a meal at the Paulaner Brauhaus' flagship store. From now till October 31, the only German microbrewery in Singapore will serve up free-flowing pints, including its seasonal O-fest brew, for only $40. Between sips, savour mouthfuls of Bavarian specials, with highlights that feature grilled veal cutlet ($44.90), roasted duck ($39), and a hearty sausage platter ($68). If you plan to show up in fours, consider an all-inclusive four-hour package ($175 per pax) with unlimited food platters and beers plus a 25th-anniversary gift bag with tons of collectables.
If you're not ready to catch a flight to a Munich biergarten just yet, you can still soak up the rousing festivities of Oktoberfest right here in Singapore. However, some safety guidelines are still in the grey so the annual German jamboree hasn't been back at full force. Still, a handful of restaurants in Singapore are dishing out hearty Bavarian fare such as pork knuckles, and grilled sausages. Of course, Oktoberfest isn't complete without beer, so expect swigs after swigs of Paulaner and Hofbräu. Prosit!
