Just what Singapore needs – another hole in the wall ramen and sake bar you need to squeeze through to get to your seat. Not that we're complaining. Sumo Bar Happy offers something different from the same old tired food and drinks menu, offering tonkotsu or shoyu-based bowls and Asahi beer. Claiming to carry Singapore's largest collection of one-cup sake, the concept allows you to try a variety of rice wine without needing to splash out on a full bottle. Those looking for something crisp and dry will appreciate the Ozeki One Cup Extra ($16), one of the pioneers of cup sake in Japan. Despite its kitsch packaging, the Nyan Cup Junmai Ginjo ($28) is our favourite thanks to its complex fruity flavour of melons and pears. Pair your tipple with ramen creations such as bone-in short rib ramen ($42) that's topped with a 600g beef shot rib stewed in red wine and sweet yakiniku sauce.
