The view from Mr Stork is an attractive excuse to head up to the rooftop bar of Andaz Singapore for a post-work tipple. But now, there are even more reasons to make the journey up 39 storeys to the alfresco drinking spot – a pop-up series, Mr Stork X, will see new menu additions from top bartenders all around Singapore.
Kicking off this inaugural event is Thomas Sobota from Lime House. And he brings with him a breezy Caribbean flair; for the month of August, expect three rum-spiked drinks ($25) paired with spiced-scented Jamaican jerk chicken ($22). Sip on Haiti Daiquiri, which mixes Clarin Communal with fresh lime juice; or try the Veritas-based concoction with Campari and orange zest.
Come September, the menu will make space for the African-inspired drinks by Joma Rivera of Café Utu, with more guest shifts in the pipeline as well.
And beyond a rotating selection of monthly specials, Mr Stork also has six cocktails ($25) to choose from – each an imaginative twist on the classic tipple. Sapphire is a stunning, herbaceous gin-based creation, with a butterfly pea-tinged ice cube that changes the hue of the drink as it melts. Aaliya is an easy-to-drink option, where Ceylon Arrack comes mixed with spiced pear, coconut, and passionfruit, for a sweet, fizzy dose of the tropics. Craving for a getaway? Tiki-inspired Barong will transport you to the sandy beaches of Bali, complete with an adorable wooden mug.
