The view It's a pity that Bar Canary doesn't offer much of a view. Instead, a formidable wall cordons off the edge that looks out to the bustling road, trailing up to Mount Elizabeth Link. But if we’re being a stickler to technicality, Bar Canary is open-air and located on a high-rise building of Grand Park Orchard –two main components of a rooftop bar. Making up for the lack of view perhaps, the bar paints a gorgeous garden setting, where cheery alfresco furnishings such as lawn chairs and oversized bean bags are strewn all over the faux grass-carpeted floors. Come night, the atmosphere of Bar Canary is quite magical, thanks to the blinking skyscrapers that stand rebelliously against the dark.
The drinks Aside from the predictable beer, wine and spirits list, Bar Canary reins in Singapore’s perpetual summer lovin’ fun with a slew of boozy ice pops! Offered by the stick or presented luxuriating in a potent cocktail, these laced popsicles come in six deliciously unique flavours such as Imperial Tea Garden ($6 per stick, $18 per glass), featuring a blend of Earl Grey tea and sake, and The Exotic Escape ($6 per stick, $22 per glass) where a dragonfruit popsicle is served in a refreshing lime and tequila concoction.
