A multidisciplinary inclusive arts exhibition is taking over the Substation from March 21 to 29. The exhibition explores the diverse creative responses to hostile architecture and the politics of space in Singapore. A treat for the senses, it features a plethora of artistic mediums and disciplines such as interactive installations, music and soundscape design, spoken word theatre, photography, architecture, moving images, soft sculpture, and wearable art.
Up on display are stimulating works by internationally recognised photographer – and one of 2019 Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 – Charmaine Poh, and local textile artist and sustainable fashion pioneer Agatha Lee, among others. There are also interesting artist-led dialogues and performances happening during the two weekends between 7pm to 9pm. These special sessions include an animated spoken word show by Patch & Punnet, a showcase exploring hostile spaces through various mediums, and a textile art and soft sculpture dialogue and performance piece. Admission is free for all the special sessions but it's required to secure your tickets via Peatix online.
