Whether you know your Monet from your Manet or not, Singapore Art Week (SAW) has cemented its place in the city’s events calendar – and there’s always something to awaken your senses. From January 17 to 26, it returns for its 13th edition with over 130 diverse arts events islandwide, taking you from the familiar four walls of museums to the highly decorated streets.
Crowd favourites like Light to Night Singapore, ART SG, and S.E.A. Focus make a triumphant return, joined by late-night vibes at Art After Dark at Gillman Barracks and Sonic Sessions at Tanjong Pagar Distripark. For something unconventional, catch Con-Temporary Art, a travelling miniature gallery redefining creative spaces.
Hungry for more? Bring your appetite to SATS Experiential Centre at The Arts House Annex, where art meets food in a dining experience inspired by Yang Derong’s DIGikat. Then head to Marina Bay Sands for the return of Where Art Takes Shape, which includes a three-month celebration of the legendary artist Jean-Michel Basquiat.
Across Singapore, public spaces will be transformed with Art in Transit installations, colourful viaduct art, and even a multimedia reimagining of Fort Canning Park. Even MRT journeys get a creative twist, with eight stations and a themed train spotlighting SAW’s programmes. Explore the full lineup here.
