Situated in an attractive black-and-white colonial house just off Tanglin Road, the Japan Creative Centre is bringing all aspects of Japanese culture to Singapore. The Centre is a joint venture between the Singapore and Japanese governments, and opened in 2009. The main areas of interest here are fashion, arts, design, architecture, animation and manga, with an emphasis on young talent. If you want to get involved, they hold regular workshops and demonstrations, as well as talks and lectures. Japanese movies are screened on the last Saturday of every month, with the film followed by a discussion.
