Highlighting language as an important part of culture, Indonesia-born, Singapore-based, contemporary artist Boedi Widjaja presents the possibility to encode and preserve words from Southeast Asian languages into DNA in his exhibition Immortal Words. In collaboration with geneticist Associate Professor Eric Yap, this interesting project seamlessly intertwines the realms of art and science. Visitors will also have the opportunity to obtain vials of DNA-encoded ink through gachapon machines.
