Experience a carefully orchestrated chaos as an array of materials, including resins, glass, paper, and more, converge to create mesmerising mandalas. These captivating pieces are the handiwork of Annalù Boeretto, an Italian artist hailing from Venice.
In her first ever solo exhibition in Singapore, titled Blooming, Boeretto unveils nine new works. Upon beholding these intricately composed mandalas, one quickly realises the absence of a beginning or end, distinguishing them from traditional mandalas. The precision in their symmetry, curves, spirals, turns, and spikes adds an extra layer of fascination.
As you step closer to the works, you’ll notice Boeretto’s visual mix of the transparency of resins and the opacity of materials like wood, cement, and iron throughout her creations. The compelling allure lies in her ability to harmonise these contrasting materials, drawing viewers into her diverse compositions.
