Emerging local artist Luke Heng questions the afterlife in his latest third solo exhibition After Asphodel. Inspired by the white plant that’s often linked to the underworld in Greek mythology and the study of shrines and its structures, Heng explores the concept of brevity through various mediums including paintings, wax pieces and a site-specific installation – a departure from his usual two-dimensional and sculptural art works.
