Time Out says

Bringing you all the best of your childhood summer vacation is the 3rd Sinchon Water Gun Festival. The streets of Sinchon, normally dominated by college students, will be closed off for a parade of shenanigans. Split up between two days, each day of the festival will kick off with an opening ceremony and include an umbrella performance, a water concert and even a water gun wedding (because who wouldn’t want to say they got married at a water gun wedding?) And, of course, the highlight to each day will be the water gun fight itself. Following the road from the Sinchon subway station to the Sinchon train station, the festival will have a special area for families (highlighting activities for children) and teenagers as well as a general water gun zone and giant water slide for everyone. Although it may appear that you have to buy a water gun at the festival, you are free to bring your own water gun and fill it with water when you are there. DJs will blast music from the turntables so come with your friends, get soaking wet and recreate sixth grade all over again.
