Ever heard of button covers? If you’re shaking your head no, think back to Seo Taiji’s comeback concert in 2014. The simple decorations on the collar of his white dress shirt were exceptionally elegant. Button covers are pretty much exactly what they sound like: accessories that cover the buttons. They’ve been catching on slowly ever since designer Lim Dong-wook started making them as point accessories to fit the no-tie trend and eventually won an award. Lim states that it’s difficult to create a new image each and every time, but he is expanding his collection through beautiful items and diverse collaborations. At Mik, the vintage line goes for 15–48,000 won, the modern line anywhere from 17–198,000 won, and the unique line from 56–270,000 won. They’re so pretty, it seems an injustice to label them as accessories exclusively for men.
