A small café with no more than four tables, Th.E.unkyo is hidden away in a quiet alleyway between chicken places. It’s easy to dismiss it as just one of those neighborhood cafés with mediocre coffee and treats, but it’s not. The macaroons are handmade fresh every day by the owners and are absolutely delicious. You can get traditional flavors like chocolate and vanilla, but the real stars here are the seasonal and unique flavors, such as rose, pistachio and Earl Grey. The crunch of the crust and the cool, soft cream perfectly complement each other without being cloyingly sweet. Th.E.unky isn’t fancy but their flavors make up for that and the smiling owners with the warm décor will make you feel right at home.
