Of the few places to get fish and chips in the city, Second Ground in Itaewon is one of them. The dark blue façade with a sign on the main door that reads ‘ We are making a real beer battered Fish and Chips’ welcomes you. The menu starts by introducing fish and chips with a selection of three types of fish including cod and catfish. Once an order has been placed, it will be served to you pretty quickly. You will want to spread some vinegar and squeeze some lemon before cutting the deep fried fish cutlet in half. Unfortunately, the cod fish was underseasoned requiring you to dip pieces of it in the provided tartar sauce. The sauce itself is made from mayonnaise, lemon juice, diced pickles and onions all mixed together. Unfortunately, probably because the diced onions weren’t placed in ice water for a good duration of time, the tartar sauce came out a little unpleasant. A lot of you who come expecting the original fish and chips might be a little disappointed here.
