Sambazon specializes in the açaí bowl, an offshoot of the more common açaí smoothie. It has recently changed its name to Sambazon is better known by its original name, Boto Açaí. The then unfamiliar açaí bowl has, ever since the opening of this place, single handedly changed the overall summer dessert trend of the Garosugil area, which is dominated by bingsu and soft-serve ice creams. An açaí bowl is basically an açaí smoothie served with toppings of tropical fruits, chia seeds, granola and coconut slices. The slightly tart taste of the açaí berry is balanced out by the sweetness of the toppings. Given the freshness of the açaí bowl and its ingredients, expect a wait after ordering, and long queue during weekends.
