Just off Garosu-gil in trendy Sinsa-dong is one of Seoul's best delis. With a menu to please just about every palate, even the pickiest eater will walk away from this German-style eatery content, and the weekend queues prove it. Wood-paneling and shelves containing jars of homemade oils and pickles give the place a European feel. The restaurant's burgers and salads are tasty, but the ginormous sandwiches steal the show, and they taste as impressive as their names suggest, thanks to high quality sauces, cheeses and deli meats. The Boiling Cheese and Steamy Beef, rubbed roast beef, sharp cheddar cheese, and a layer of creamy mac and cheese on soft ciabatta bread, is an excellent option. For a lighter bite, we enjoy the Toscana, prosciutto topped with slices of honeydew melon, or the Honeycomb, Fruits and Ham. Pick up some of the restaurant's famous breads and sauces to recreate your meal at home.
