This café has represented Seoul’s coffee culture since the 90s. After opening in 1990, and since moving from its original Daehakro location to Buam-dong, Club Espresso has established itself as a neighborhood landmark. True to its name, the café extracts syrupy espressos of abundant flavors using a variety of machines. The varied flavor profiles of the single origin expressos on the menu can be enjoyed at a reasonable price. Club Espresso also sells coffee beans, both roasted and unroasted. The section selling coffee-related equipment, including moka pots and coffee drippers, is interesting enough on its own to warrant a quick whirl. This is a café that exudes a strong sense of character, as befitting its veteran status.
