You’ve probably seen those long-exposure editorial photos or stock images of Namdaemun Gate surrounded by high rises and streaks of car lights passing by the area. The exact spot where most of those pictures were taken is the 16th-floor terrace lounge at the Fraser Place. It’s one of the best places to get a great panoramic view of the Namdaemun landmark, day and night—hence the name Panorama Lounge. The lounge itself is divided in two, with available seating in the inside and the outdoor terrace. One of the good things about the space is that awning screens set up outside will save you from the often harsh summer sun and occasional rain. The indoor isn’t crazy fancy or anything, but the night view of the city is indeed stunning. Because it’s such a popular destination among the neighboring office workers, weekends are actually a better time to visit.
Aside from the obvious visual pleasures offered, there's also a lot to eat and drink here with chop steak, sausages and braised mussels, classic cocktails, single malt whiskeys, beer and wine included in the menu. One weekends, the Panorama Lounge offers a brunch menu: French toast, sausage, bacon and eggs (16,500 won), 4-cheese omelet (16,500 won) and eggs benedict (18,700 won).
