The JW Marriot is nestled near the Shinsegae department store, the express bus terminal, and Famille Station. After passing the designer stores of Shinsegae and entering the hotel’s lobby, you may feel the interior to be a tad old-fashioned but the marble pillars and high ceilings are purposely part of the décor. Foreign business travelers come and go during the week, while the weekends are packed with locals trying The Cafe's all-day dining or the well-reputed steak and seafood barbeque available at JW's Grill. The suites, currently under renovation, are rather bland but the 9 restaurants, cafes and bars are filled with guests, both of the hotel and otherwise.
