Protestival: A 20-Year Retrospective The world’s largest annual event advocating cannabis law reform, Seattle Hempfest began in 1991 with a gathering of barely 500 people. Today, it’s put on by thousands of volunteers, attended by hundreds of thousands of festival goers, and features a program filled with nationally-recognized bands and leading activist speakers.
