Situated in the shadows of the Golden Gate Bridge, Kirby Cove Campground proves that the intersection of Mother Nature and man-made marvels can be exquisite. Offering five well-manicured campsites—all of which are walk-ins—you can wake up to spectacular views of the San Francisco Bay each and every morning of your stay. However, because of the primitive nature of the campsites, don’t expect much in the way of frills. Aside from a communal fire pit and a food storage locker, there’s nothing getting in the way of you and experiencing the tree lines of Monterey pines, cypress, blue gum eucalyptus. Thankfully though, clean toilets are located on-site, situated just off the coarse-sand beach adjacent to campsites four and five.
