The Japan Film Festival of San Francisco is closing out with 2015’s Happy Hour, a film that follows three 30-something women as they search for their missing, just-divorced friend. Scrutinizing episodes from each of their lives leaves our heroes with questions way heavier than any of Carrie Bradshaw’s “I couldn’t help but wonder…”s. Clocking in at over five hours, settle in for a sentimental journey, followed by a meet-and-greet with director Ryusuke Hamaguchi.
