Local literary lion Dave Eggers opened this non-profit kids' writing centre in 2002, an essential destination for those travelling with young aspiring scribes. In addition to offering workshops and free drop-in tutoring for children aged eight to 18, 826 is the Bay Area's only independent pirate supply store.
