Once an incubator for emerging literary talent, San Francisco spawned poets like Alan Ginsberg and Lawrence Ferlinghetti like it was no big thing for decades. As early as 1965, Intersection for the Arts gave writers a reliable place to show up every week and share new work. Alas, spoiler alert, the city has changed and the famous poetry series penned its envoi some time ago. Ahoy, as part of the organization’s 50/50 Campaign, it’s back for a short while.
