Serving the Western Addition and Nopa neighborhoods since 1999, Chicago’s II feels like the sort of barber shop you see in the movies. There are three red, white and blue swirling poles out front and six stations inside. The white porcelain chairs have chestnut leather cushions, and a large jazz portrait adorns one of the walls. The barbers (both old and young) wear white coats and offer treatments that are simple and affordable. There are no frills, but no BS either.
